In reality, what we perceive on the outside is how we truly feel about ourselves on the inside. The only confrontation that ever truly arises is the turmoil we have inside. This may be uncomfortable truth for those just starting on the spiritual path...but ultimately, is is the truth.

In finding enemies with others, we only find an enemy within ourself....overcome your own mind, and you overcome any obstacles in life...this is the code of a true spiritual warrior..

Hi Sitha, yah you are absolutely right, meditation is connection with the entire consciousness within us, and thus giving us all the powers of the ultimate soul to achieve anything we set our minds to.

I remember Sri Sri saying once (I think it was more than a decade ago in Bangalore) that meditation is the art of discovering nothingness.

When you drop all encumbrances of identity and identification, you are left with the purest form of the self. Almost everything we imagine, experience, perceive or believe manifests in the form of a thought. Only in a state of thoughtlessness, you achieve nothingness which is your purest form and an answer to 'Who am I'? And we are nothing and in that we are everything! Opposite values are complimentary indeed!

The etymological root for meditation=Sadhana which is Sa+adhya+ana...(Sa= together, adhya=spirit as in adhyatmic=spiritual and ana= naturally). So simply, meditation is being together with ONLY your essential nature. That is the reason why in deep meditation, you discover pure bliss and unfathomable joy for that is our very true nature:-), perpetually!
